Viva Kerala finished first in the EDFA League by winning all matches, scoring 37 goals against one—a record in the history EDFA. Viva's next challenge was in the Alukka's Gold Cup All India Football Tournament held at Edavanna, Nilambur in February 2005. Viva Kerala surprised against all odds celebrated clubs such as Mmohammedan's Sporting, Kolkata (2-1), Karantaka Police, Bangalotre (2-0), Titanium FC, Thiruvananthapuram (2-1) before going down to KSEB, Thiruvananthapuram in the final in a penalty shoot out. |
